Outline of TC

Objectives

The main objective of the TC-17 Ethics Committee is to formulate and implement plans and programs designed to encourage and capacitate ACECC member-societies to undertake ethics activities in their respective economies.

Terms of Reference

The TC-17 Ethics Committee was formerly established as a sub-committee for Ethics of the Planning Committee Meeting (PCM). To be more effective in working on the ethics issues, (such us providing technical output and special session in CECAR 6), TC-17 Committee, chaired and co-chaired by William P. Henry (ASCE) and Primitivo Cal (PICE), respectively was proposed. The committee was approved at 11th Technical Coordinating Committee Meeting (TCCM) held in Tokyo, Japan on 1st March 2012. The charge of the ACC has been expanded to include governance, transparency and other related issues. The title had been discussed and kept as it is to in line with the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the Pan American Union of Engineering Organizations (UPADI) to avoid complications. After the CECAR-7, Edward H. Wang (ASCE) succeeded William P. Henry (ASCE) to be the current Chair, approved at ACECC 31st Executive Committee Meeting (ECM) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Each ACCECC Member Society is encouraged to elect one official delegate to participate.
