Outline of TC
The main objective of the TC-17 Ethics Committee is to formulate and implement plans and programs designed to
encourage and capacitate ACECC member-societies to undertake ethics activities
in their respective economies.
The TC-17 Ethics Committee was formerly established as a sub-committee
for Ethics of the Planning Committee Meeting (PCM). To be more effective
in working on the ethics issues, (such us providing technical output and
special session in CECAR 6), TC-17 Committee, chaired and co-chaired by
William P. Henry (ASCE) and Primitivo Cal (PICE), respectively was proposed.
The committee was approved at 11th Technical
Coordinating Committee Meeting (TCCM) held in Tokyo, Japan on 1st March
2012. The charge of the ACC has been expanded to include governance,
transparency and other related issues. The title had been discussed and kept as
it is to in line with the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO)
and the Pan American Union of Engineering Organizations (UPADI) to avoid complications.
After the CECAR-7, Edward H. Wang (ASCE) succeeded William P. Henry (ASCE) to
be the current Chair, approved at ACECC 31st Executive Committee
Meeting (ECM) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Each ACCECC Member Society is encouraged to elect
one official delegate to participate.
